Digital or printed wedding invitations: which is right for you?
Cost, speed, reach and keepsake value compared, so you can decide what to send to whom.

Most couples in Sri Lanka no longer have to choose one or the other. The real question is which guests get which, and what you want each invitation to do.
Cost
Printed cards cost per card, so the bill grows with every guest, and you pay again for any reprint. A digital invitation is made once and the same link goes to everyone, so adding fifty more guests costs nothing extra.
Speed and changes
Printing, proofing and delivery take weeks, and a wrong detail on the card is wrong for good. A digital invitation can be ready in a day, and if the venue time moves, you fix it once and every guest sees the new version.
What each can do
A digital invitation can show a countdown, open the venue in Google Maps, play music, show your photos and let guests reply. A printed card cannot, but it can be held, kept and placed on a shelf, which matters to many parents and elders.
A sensible mix
Many couples print a small number of cards for grandparents and close family, and send the digital invitation to everyone else. Put the same link on the printed card as well, so even those guests can see the map and the schedule.
